horrid fangirl

o no i feel so horrid - how could i have forgot a two of my favourite crochet designers when making my list the other day?

i love love love the roxycraft creatures, and ana paula rimoli's cute creations make me soo happy!

roxy's patterns definitely do not suck - be sure to check out the link of all her lovely and generous free patterns, and ana' s books have kept me occupied on many beach and family vactions, and beachy family vacations too...

omg!!! i have a new favourite crochet designer!!!

i remember the feeling when i started heavily crocheting again, i was pretty ill, and i was cruising the web and i first found jessica polka of wunderkammer fame, then needlenoodles and her book creepy cute crochet and then the lovely owlishly...

...now i have a new designer to add to the people who i think are making the cutest most interesting crochet out there, and his name is matthew fox, or MR. ROX to you and i, yes as in mr. fox fuckin' rocks...because he does. just hope he doesn't mind me linking a photo into here.

he now on MY list - which i guess is a list that i should share with ya'll...

i'll be updating my sidebar later on with all this fabulously inventive and inspiring designers.

i look forward to making his creatures soon, soon, soon...

hearts

think i have decided against the hearts and am now planning on making my daughter a heart-shaped box (not like mine) and chocs inside...i found this pattern online and have scoped out a few other projects by hookers so thinkit will be quite cute!

because i need something to work on until i score a bunch of dark charcoal DK to finish off my skull and crossbones afghan as i've finally finished squaring off all the pieces and making them the same size...they are ready to join up!

star time

made a 12 pointed star this week -=- its so cute!!!

and have been yarnbombing london with my easter eggs.

also joined the stitch book group and scored the audiobook of 'water for elephants' to listen to while i crochet. i wanted the old school paper copy but couldn't find it anywhere so downloaded it - and ironically an hour later found out my daughter just finished reading it...i could have had her copy! but am going to take advantage of things being up and down with the fiance and am going to go to bed early tonight with some crochet and put the ipod on the dock and listen to a few chapters...

...just hope that i stay awake!
