i made it to wednesday knit night. went all by myself, which is something i wouldn't normally do - i hate to even go for coffee by myself, but i did it! and i made loads of new friends - some on ravelry, some from the neighbourhood, and some from work club of all places! (work club is the digital agency that poached my boss about 6months back, lol...they were doing a photoshoot)
...and most of my new friends are crocheters!
yes we were takin' over this evening! it was really fun.
hope i can make it down on wednesdays again to meet up with them all more.
now back to makin' myself some cuddly wuddly doo-dah scarves.
this having short hair in winter thing demands it!

ch ch ch changes...
change of plans...maybe.
an old punker friend from the 80s is now coming to stay with me this week from thursday night rather than just coming for a pirate party on halloween. so if i can't take her with me to the vodka client party, then we may be dropping by knit night later on!
either way i'll still try to make wednesday just in case stash is going as now i'm seeing her every week i'll miss her if i don't!

another thursday
at knitclub and still loving it!
next week i have to go to a party for our vodka client so i'll probably try to go on wednesday instead after my hospital appointment. will be interesting to see what crowd it is and what they are all making...
this week was more squares for my skull and crossbones afghan.
rafrasilecs bought me some more yarn so i've added in some lilac to the patchwork mix.

weekly update...
another week, another knitclub.
even though i've only been to iknit twice, i have really dug in and it feels like home.
i love it there! and last thursday, the fiance rafrasilecs even came along to chill out, drink cider, and crochet...it was one of the best evenings we have had out together with friends in ages!
well except maybe the wedding party we went to last night!
it was a lovely haunted house/alice in wonderland theme
(her name is alice and it is almost halloween...)
i wanted to look my best so went to aveda and had my hair re-browned and it is the most luscious dark chocolate colour ever...and i wore THE highest hi hi heeled shoes - sexy black patent leather with an ankle strap and slight stripper feel...yum...with tight pencil skirt and tubey type top with built in bra (luckily, but only an H cup so alot of benny hill style spillage...oooo err....) and my luscious fur trimmed porn coat by satya james
and luckily my botox has settled in so my lovely arched drag queen eyebrows are back!!!
o and i really really hope that the love the skeleton bride and groom and cthulu amigurumi that made for them out of the creepy cute crochet book...

knitclub
...the first rule of knitclub is you HAVE to talk about knitclub!
yes i finally made it down to iknit's thursday night to catch up with an old friend, make lots of new ones, and ensure my knit date finally learned how.
it was a really great, relaxing night and i am really looking forward to heading back there again!
spent the time making another skull and crossbone crocheted square for the afghan that i want to finish before the fiance moves in...we were going to use this weekend to go look at flooring and furniture/storage for the spare bedroom, but the weather forecast is looking good here in london so instead the days will probably be spent in one of the royal parks.
indoor pursuits can wait til winter...*wink*

well we both work together and we both had to work late.
i've got a film/photoshoot tomro.
ironically its for one of the best vodkas in the world and i'm not drinking right now!
so will try and make it down to iknit to meet up with old friends again next week.
