eternal recall of of the spotless mind

so i've been promising my friend faris' lil bro ramzi (the cuddliest colleague in town) that i'd crochet him something since he started working here like 18 months ago - and i saw the perfect thing on etsy, so have created a different version as an homage to the designer 'eternal sunshine' - which by the way is one of my all time favourite movies - it's like total recall but on earth. i know that right now i am so in love - easy love - not horrid creepy love that i have to talk myself into, but beautiful love so wonderful that if it ever ends i definitely want my mind wiped!!!!

anyway, i finally made him sumthin' n it was a smiley dead lump o' coal amigurumi.

why o why???

aw...
my friend annmarie seienstyle loves her cozy red hotwater bottle cover that i made for her and her doggies. and her man andy electricboy loves the scarf i'm creating for him out of the same yarn! we were out at the crobar last night and i was crocheting, trying to finish it before they leave to go back to scandoland this weekend...but i ran out of yarn! why o why is there no 24 hour yarn shop in soho...it would keep so many people out of trouble and off of drugs, and even if they were on the streets, they would be warm and cuddly in their handmade goodness...

but then i can imagine trading amazing balls of silk for crack, lol!
i do do my best shopping when codeined out...

anyway - as we were drinking last night, alot of air guitar was happening, so i challenged the boys to an air crochet contest...and they were brilliant!!! they even did the correct i-am-counting-in-my-head face. lol.

they should be awarded some chocolate as a prize for that shit.

healing like a vampire mo-fo

i slept alot since that last post.
so much that i missed the blondeboy kissing me goodbye before he went off back to the wilds of wales for another week of work. at least he has his voodoo scarf i made him with my old dreadlocks to keep him warm.

i'm exhausted.
my body is healing like some psycho vampyre superhero.
really - the alien nostril hole on my ribcage is closing up so fast i'm sure i could watch it happen if i could hold my right tit up that long and not get bored. or even more tired. not drinking and trying to eat more protein mixed with painkillers seems to be working for me and my body.

but needless to say i have managed to accomplish nothing more as far as crafty bits except for a few rows on an aum square. i so need yarn scored to cover the red hot water bottle i've bought for annmarie seienstyle as she arrives next week. i am getting in training for her visit my going out and consuming as much vitlok as possible tonight with my lovely friend thayer prime, so i can get all the latest foo fighter boy gossip!

so priority one:
buy lovely red varigated yarn.

black christmas

i can't believe how difficult it is just to buy regular old black crochet cotton in central london. i ended up having to pay £5 a ball for the 'silky' stuff at john lewis and i/m hoping that it will workup into some lovely black snowflakes to put on our bright pink xmas tree!

and a big word of warning to anyone who goes shopping down oxford street - their credit card system has been fucked since last weekend, so take cash...

world aids day 2009

i took the time tonight, after working late and while waiting for my tesco man to bring 12bottles of my favourite dry cava (it was on special - 3 for £10) for xmas.nye...anyway, i took the time tonight to crochet a red ribbon. i sat there and really thought about it and wished i'd done more to support world aids day this year. i'd like to start planning a project now to culminate next december 1st, but not sure exactly what just yet. i'm thinking that maybe i could get my stitch and bitch groups to all come together for the night - each do a square, then auction off a blanket?

but would anyone want a blanket of red ribbons squares...
maybe a better idea would be to all make afghans and only use one red ribbon square per project and auction them all off. or just take on the project meself and create something all on my own.
hmmm...

i've been moved and i don't want to lose this desire to do something and create something, and earn some £££ for a good cause.

any ideas?
