O dear I seem to have a new boyfriend - and this one was more than happy to curl up with me on a Saturday night while I crocheted and watched horror films. How lucky am I, it's unbelievable!
But before you all think my life is too boring I do have to state that we had already spent the day with strippers in a casino - not a bad excuse for missing most of the alternative village fĂȘte is it...
And still finishing my black scarf, am now adding human hair and synthetic dreadlock fringe to it, sooo sexy!
...not just another threadbanging hooker
am also a puggle owner and tribal gypsy fire bellydancer!

busy bee still...
been a busy couple weeks!
work is still kicking off but at least the people around me have good taste in music and can crochet...i'm working on a nice yummy scrummy silky fuzzy new wintery black black scarf with some new artesano yarn i got at the iknit weekender.
and i'm going to be a social anthropologist....
everything sorted, bought, and paid for and i go back to school starting the 28th.
the same week that my daughter ravenisis starts her humanities degree there!
not quite the usual college co-eds.
or???
i'm sure it will be cutting into my crafty time but will be worth it!

in stitches
i have actually learned a new crochet stitch.
well, new to me...because it is actually antique!
its the long treble and it goes something like this:
Long Treble Crochet (1 tr): Like treble until you have the three stitches on needle; thread over and draw through one (thread over, draw through two) twice.
found it on this site
which is a great directory of stitches, but the way it was written out didn't make sense to me so i did my first cotton candy pink snood wrong wrong wrong, but o well - its looking great now - i just wish i'd added pearls.
and my brain works different so this instruction would have made more sense to me:
like treble until 3 stitches on hook
(thread over and draw through 1, thread over draw through 2) twice
or is that just the modern equivalent of a written instruction?

elephantitis

i'm tired and everythin' hurts!
i've been dancing for days and days and days at electric elephant in zadar.
feeling better - tanned and my mastitis has healed so well that my lump seems to be gone!!! not sure how that happened but even the doctor thinks it a miracle...and so much of a miracle that i've not crocheted more than 20 rows since last week.
and not alot more will be made this week as i'm hooking up with my scandos on thursday night around midnight...but i need to find the time to make my new cotton candy pink snood!
o and looking forward to reading nudge with the rest of the kniterati...and it had an elephant on the cover so now my post has come full circle!
