so i've now got a handful of little crafty vixens here at work that i've taught to crochet.
and last year our learning project was to create versions of the house of holland shawl for ourselves.
this year's project is going to be the wool eater!

i' so so sorry to those of you that are coming here looking for crochet, and lately only getting trashy posts...

...my life hasn't been very crafty lately at all.

and to tell the truth i'm findin' the fallout of the article below hard to deal with.

my daughter is telling the truth. i wish i could show the txt messages on her iphone to the whole world. and now all those times i wished i had cctv that followed me - well, damn if only i did! i'd love to be able to show you all how he lied to my face the spent then night at our house.

ugh.

it's been so hard watching my daughter go through this. especially as it's been so globally public.

the internet is a big part of my life and my work, but dammit sometimes!

yes i know we work on our own costumes and hair and other accessories, but wow - the talent is amaxing and endless.

firstly - for anyone back home or anyone that knows anyone back home can you please have a look at this blog post and pass it along if you can? nother crafty vixen could really use our help in trackin down her daughter cassie who has been missing since the 8th...there is a possibility that she could have run away, and may be headed towards Virginia. thanks so much for having a look - just in case we can help in anyway.

as a mom i can't even imagine what she is going through - just thinking about my daughter ravenisis going missing makes me sick. my daughter means everything to me and i'm so lucky - shes my best friend as well as my only family over here in london...and i'm so proud of her! we had a great day together today at the V+A for their quilt exhibition. she got me the tickets for my birthday last weekend.

i do have to say tho-that i really don't think i've seen that many menopausal women in one space ever before in my life! what is it about patchwork and the change?

sunday nutroast day?

i really really really don't know what to do and whatever i do is wrong. he's my best friend and my life and i feel horrid and useless, so bad that even the vicodin isn't helping anymore. i'm trying so hard just to get on with things and keep myself busy with gym and crafty bits and have even started accepting dreadlock hair appointments again (ssshhh!) but still the tears are starting to slip out, thank little baby jesus for lancome waterproof blue mascara.

o and nothing went to plan yesterday!
my daughter and i both had womanly monthly pains so she put off moving into her new studio flat. john bloody lewis refused to deliver my new mirrored bedroom furniture up to the 4th floor.
no one in the mood to go to trader vic's for mai tais so we ended up at strada with their lovely fizzy pink...BRUT DI PINOT NERO ROSÉ, Ruggeri Veneto, yum!

so not a total loss. just wish i was meeting my lovely fiance today for sunday lunch.

need nutroast. maybe that would make things all better?
not that i have an appetite. stress diet means i'm back wearing my jeans with ease.

back in london...

and just barely sorted so have missed knitclub...boo!
tomoro i have to show up bright at early at our shiny new bright lovely office building which is soooo exciting as i'll be down clerkenwell so just a busride to both iknit at waterloo and the prague bar stitchy bitchy.

ps - yes my suitcase is full of shoes, lingerie, and crafty vixen bits...lol

wednesday is my new thursday...

so just a quickie as i'm feeling tired and achey from spending too much time sitting in meetings today...lovely client though so it could be worse, but as it's made me so behind on work i knda threw in the towel around 5pm and ran off to the pub with the head of one of my production companies. hence why i didn't make it to knitblubclub this evening...i was just too tired and came home and flaked out and did some yoga, trying to stretch out my weary body.

will try to make thursday night next week though,
although i'm loving all my new amaxing wednesday night @ iknit friends!
it's too hard to choose nights and will be even harder to fit 2 a week in...
o dear. i love my job but i love my crafty friends too.
and i'm thinking more and more of re-nstating the bloomsbury skyline club monthly stitch and bitch ( i.e. at my house, lol!) just because i have sooo many friends that want to do it that they'd not all fit in iknit!!

well, better go check my ravelry and then off to sleepies.
just finished off the skully square i started last night at knitclub.
it's sooo wonky!!! my counting was all off from talking all night, but i decided to leave it the way it is and whenever i look at that square of the afghan it will remind me of that night at iknit.
