yarnbombs away!

so i'm still making crocheted flowers for my spring yarnbomb this year. i've got half a bowl full already and going to be making more tonight at knitclub, if it is not raining that is...as i've got a meeting in covent garden after work and i am wearing the new camel suede ankle boots that i bought to go with the maxi dress i wore to trader vic's for mister blondeboy's birthday.

birthday suit

tonight at knitclub was so lovely - not been to an iknit evenin in ages and it was so lovely to catch up with everyone and make new friends again, but also to teach my friend jo the birthday girl! she is an amazingly quick learner and her crochettension was perfecto...such a pleasure to watch her churning out stitches. i've created another happyhooker! and i've convinced all the girls to bring our crochet out to the charlotte street hotel tomoro night...posh cocktails stitch and birthday bitch.

and today i needed beer beer beer!
so i took my lovely girlie designer reirabbit to the dovetail bar for a leffe.
while we were talking, about burlesque and stuff and it turned out she's a stitch and bitcher too! so she's coming to iknit with me next week...but first tomoro night i'll be headin there with my friend jo roach. she's really interested in the geeky links with knitting/crochet/technology and doin a film on it - so her first step is coming to iknit with me tomoro to meet everyone and learn to crochet!

then saturday after i get my eyebrows tattooed, we are all yarnbombing the tunnel...

last week

well there won't be anymore bake camps for me.

i really can't face going back and sitting with all the settled down girlie girls again.

especially now that things have gotten sooo messed up.

not really been crafting much the last week or so.

did the race for life with the iknit team and can now add almost £200 to their almost £4k.

i crocheted all the way round the track, but ripped it out the next day as it was too wonky...so have slowly been building it back up.

but nothing else.

i want to make a lovely lacey scarf out of the 2ply that i got from all the fun of the fair the other day, but i can't bring myself to wind it up off the hank by meself.  this fucking messed up relationship thing really really sucks.

will take with me to stockholm in a couple weeks - who knows, it might end up as hair extensions!!!

another night another knitclub...

...but of course with my usual twist!

i am so loving watching my worlds collide. my techie digital girlies coming along to knitclub and hanging out with my new bestest ever knitbuddy as well as the man with the legendary legs at transnight at the bar and drinking margaritas to toast my good health news...then sitting at waterloo station stealing some cop's french fries.

easy like sunday morning...

went to sunday knitroast today and had a nice chilled relaxed time with the iknit crew...
ate lovely and VERY nutty nutroast and managed to finish off 3 more jolly roger squares for the skull and crossbones afghan. the fiance rafrasilecs managed to create a very phallic purple thing while freestyling his crochet...have a feeling that might get unravelled soon! made some lovely new friends that i hope to bump into really soon again (xmas party anyone?)

so home now, cuddled up on the sofa and about to make a pink o pink square for the blanket while planning in my head what yarn to pack to take with me to milan this week!

my old boss that now works at work club sent me this link to his work's blog about knitblubclub and iknit...so my blog now links to his blog...its like all part of my life have now connected, lol!

didn't make it tonight and am already feeling the loneliness...

wednesday is my new thursday...

so just a quickie as i'm feeling tired and achey from spending too much time sitting in meetings today...lovely client though so it could be worse, but as it's made me so behind on work i knda threw in the towel around 5pm and ran off to the pub with the head of one of my production companies. hence why i didn't make it to knitblubclub this evening...i was just too tired and came home and flaked out and did some yoga, trying to stretch out my weary body.

will try to make thursday night next week though,
although i'm loving all my new amaxing wednesday night @ iknit friends!
it's too hard to choose nights and will be even harder to fit 2 a week in...
o dear. i love my job but i love my crafty friends too.
and i'm thinking more and more of re-nstating the bloomsbury skyline club monthly stitch and bitch ( i.e. at my house, lol!) just because i have sooo many friends that want to do it that they'd not all fit in iknit!!

well, better go check my ravelry and then off to sleepies.
just finished off the skully square i started last night at knitclub.
it's sooo wonky!!! my counting was all off from talking all night, but i decided to leave it the way it is and whenever i look at that square of the afghan it will remind me of that night at iknit.

yes i finally made it down to iknit's thursday night to catch up with an old friend, make lots of new ones, and ensure my knit date finally learned how.

it was a really great, relaxing night and i am really looking forward to heading back there again!

spent the time making another skull and crossbone crocheted square for the afghan that i want to finish before the fiance moves in...we were going to use this weekend to go look at flooring and furniture/storage for the spare bedroom, but the weather forecast is looking good here in london so instead the days will probably be spent in one of the royal parks.

indoor pursuits can wait til winter...*wink*

well we both work together and we both had to work late.
i've got a film/photoshoot tomro.

ironically its for one of the best vodkas in the world and i'm not drinking right now!

so will try and make it down to iknit to meet up with old friends again next week.
am glad my life has changed enough that i'm back to my crafty ways...
