venus and mars are alright tonight...

watching the US version of life on mars on the sofa with harvey keitel, just had my first day out of the house in over 2 weeks and it was strange. my fever was up this morning and fell again once the panadol kicked in, but the alien nostril hurt even worse when the codienies wore off...ouch, especially when i sneeze. doclady is happy with the progress though so that is good!

and i've managed to lay out all my om squares and have sooo many pinks that i need to make ALOT of other colours to pad out - but still keep them all warm bases. will make a nice wallhanging/afghan/rug...eventually!

hot water!

well i've now finished almost all the hotwater bottle coxies that are assigned xmas presents.
just talked to my best scandofamily sister seienstyle and her and her electric boy bf are coming over on dec. 15th for our friend samppa's wedding so i think i'll make one for her as well for the cold stockholm nights that she is alone when mr christell is off on tour...

and damn samppa - i was thinking that if we were going to sneak in some paper work it would be that week too. a good idea as everyone will be in town, but don't want to clash too much!

bloody xmas

finally feeling a bit better...still really burning up with fever from the abcess on my rib, but i can move around a bit more! the doclady bandaged it up for me last night and told me to leave it, but i'd already bled through within 3 hours. luckily for me, she trusts me to take care of it myself because of all the body modification that i've done to myself in the past...just wish i could get an immune system so i can do more!!!

until then i'll have to satisfy myself with crocheting designs instead...
finished the jolly roger hot water bottle cozy for the new lil bro-in-law and have started on a nice aum version for my blondeboy. using nice bright blue and a deep fuschia with a bit of varigated thrown in. will be nice for him to take when he is off working away. altho hopefully he'll be getting some london jobs when cardiff finishes as i really really want him here at home to cuddle.

ok - now back to the christmas crochet.
have decided instead of crocheted sushi for the pink tree that i'm going to make black snowflakes for it this year...which means no matter how threadbare the poor thing is getting its going to have to last a couple more seasons!!!

luckiest lady

trying to make myself spend more time sitting up today, as work is freakin out that i am still off and probbly wont be back in this week, and almost the whole weekend was spent flat out in bed - not in a fun way, well not all of it anyway...*wink*...the blondeboy cuddles definitely made me feel better. and he bought special lush foot cream and gave me some lovely reflexology - not bad for someone that hated feet before he got together with me! i have definitely trained mister very well, lol. and darn he does love me...

and blondeboy can cook!
he made the most amazing vegan sunday roast dinner for us last night. mashed swede and everything. yes, my mister blondetoyboy made me yummy scrummy mashed swede to make me feel better. i know he is half italian, and yes i know he has cheffed, but any resemblence to the cooking of the former fiance ends right the f*ck there. because this was definitely the tastiest meal ever cooked for me.

and he's giving me his lovely vintage 70s smoked glass dining table for the new kitchen that 'm hating so that i'll hate it even less...reckon the wooden cupboards won't look quite so pedestrian and a bit more swinging wrong once we have the space bubble decor down the end. can i just say now - this table is NOT to be used for scat. thanks!

anyway.
as i am tryin to spend more time sitting up, despite the pain anytime i change position or reach for anything, i've managed in my codeine haze to finish my daughter's xmas pressie hot water bottle cozy, and start a skull and crossbones one for the new lil bro in law. they're good quick projects that can be finished in a couple painkiller sessions...lol. and hopefully look better than the monstrosity that is the pair of mismatched fingerless gloves!

quick quick update while the pain meds are working!
and can i just say i never realised how good a HUGE ibuprofen is...

...i actually managed to quickly whip up some mismatched fingerless gloves for myself while the painkillers were kicking in last night, but haven't felt well enough to do the freeform embellishments on the righthand yet.

but at least next time i headout to the docs i'll be cozy.

alien cyst thing

haven't been able to crochet for days - got an alien infected sebum cyst growing on my ribcage and it's now about the size of my hand! so can only sit up for a few minutes at a time as it hurts too much...am taking penicillin to try and dry it up but it's not kicked in yet i'm sure. going to go back to the doctor when they open up as i need to be checked again - my fever is high high high and i want more painkillers.

the morphine patches are for tattooing not medical purposes! lol...

ok back to lying down.

i got some of our team assistant's blonde hair yesterday!!! there was a bit of her hair flicking out weirdly so i offered to fix it - and lopped it off....with her blessing of course...!

i have just gone a whole weekend without crochet.
u know what it's like if you have ever had to write an anthropology paper!
but i did get to deliver the mister blondeboy his colourful noro kureyon scarf with my dreadlocks as fringe...and i think he loves it. it looks great on him, i was wearing it last week but it clashes too damn much with my bright orangey hair.
