sunday funday.

well, bake camp was fun...to a point.
great baking - lots of lovely champagne - and lovely friends.
but all these friends are settled down, living with their partners, and have numerous degrees each - and are younger. i'm sitting here with no qualifications to speak of, with a relationship that is so far from living together that i'm still thinking i'll need a flatmate soon to help with the bills - and the loneliness...i really wished that i'd fitted in more.

so am looking at birkbeck to maybe study something like this economics course as it inter disciplinary so 'd probably find it quite interesting. but the relationship thing i really can't push anymore - as much as i want to...

and one good thing that came out of bake camp - i think i'll add it to my weekly rituals!

altho before gym tomoro i want to buy some new 2ply yarn to make myself a nice patchwork stole of the arcade diamond medallions/granny squares. really need something for summer!

no crochet tonight but vegan gluten free baking for bake camp instead!

i've just taken the brownies out of the oven.
and the scones are about halfway there...

then tomoro i might be making some cookies if i can get the right ingredients and i have time after the gym and everything else i need to do. luckily my last appointment had to be cancelled so i can get there to partake of the goodies and alcohol and tea as early as possible.

one wierd thing though - in all these years i've never bought fake egg.
doing so this afternoon made me feel really strange and has made me really really re-think this urban vegan thing. if i wanted to get luscious fresh eggs in london where would i go?
(i used to buy direct from coram's fields)

other thing is while i've been baking away i've been listenin to alot of cow punk/alt cuntry that i grabbed off my old flatmate's hard drive. makes me really miss her - will have to organise a baking slumber party with her soon!!!

they smell like glue
look rough and taste too plain.
next time i will go with my plan of seasoning salt and grated courgette...
still will be nice straight out of the oven with spread for me right now!

i'm losing my crochet mojo...

i've got 2 projects now on the go/on hold for the fiance but the way things are so up and down i find it too upsetting to work them up anymore.

so tonight i'll go to bed with my audio book (after this tivo'd episode of 24, and some yoga) and make a different blue 12 pointed celestial katamari star.

tomoro night will be spent baking - as i'm going to go to bake camp instead of social media camp this weekend - that is if i don't go away some where with the fiance or run away with a knitter to wonderwool in wales (is anyone actually going still???)

sorry i've not updated!
been busy crocheting and listening to my audiobooks...
still making the 12 pointed katamari celestial stars.
and doing as many stitch and bitches as poss - just home from the hoxton group that have been meeting in the spread eagle pub as futbal has taken over juno for now! i'm really loving the spread eagle - its much more my type of place but way too dark to do my stars in! i need to start a new project that is light coloured and big hooked.

i do need a nice lacy scarf thingy...hmmmm

cowl free for now...

well, i started a cowl - one i found on ravelry that another crafty suicide girl designed and it was going to be lovely but then started thinking...i can't get my bandage wet, so how am i going to wash my hair? thought about booking a wash and blowdry at aveda tomoro, but i can't stretch my neck back so no way i can get my head in the bowl...hmmm. so i'm just going to keep piling on the bumble and bumble hair powder, twist the front into a quiff, and then put on a headscarf a la 1950s starlet...

...that way i can keep the skanky hair covered too!

but did also order a lovely hajib - i couldn't resist.
it's black with starbursts embroidered onto it. will arrive at my office too late for me to wear this weekend, but will come in handy for attending muslim friends' weddings and other events where i could feel more comfortable covered up.

so back to crocheting 12 pointed stars!

i really really need to crochet a cowl as soon as possible!
because i got laser lipo on my neck today...and am swollen and have to wear a bandage until tuesday. did ask my plastick surgeon if he could cut the bandage fancy like a swirly beard but he just laughed...maybe next time

so i have to go out on saturday so need to get crocheting - or i will have to keep wearing a pashmina tied high...

star time

made a 12 pointed star this week -=- its so cute!!!

and have been yarnbombing london with my easter eggs.

also joined the stitch book group and scored the audiobook of 'water for elephants' to listen to while i crochet. i wanted the old school paper copy but couldn't find it anywhere so downloaded it - and ironically an hour later found out my daughter just finished reading it...i could have had her copy! but am going to take advantage of things being up and down with the fiance and am going to go to bed early tonight with some crochet and put the ipod on the dock and listen to a few chapters...

...just hope that i stay awake!
