absolutely everything
cafe stitch AND the bust craftacular as well as going to see the scando girls' band perform

all because of the damn mastitis coming back!

friday

friday is here and i'm sooo tired.
got a big big weekend and alot to do before i head off to croatia on thursday!
and i'm so conflicted as i want to go to cafe stitch at the wellcome as well as the bust craftacular tomoro...choices choices. and of course there is all the usual pre-vacation preening that needs to happen - like redarkening my hair, etc...

so i'm tired but also really excited as i've been thinking alot about crocheting nice soft wire jewellry and the lovely reirabbit brought in some bracelets she has and now i'm sure that i want to try it out...first with some cheapie shit stuff then the best ever ingredients that i can find! can you imagine soft lovely rose gold wire with deep black ebony crystals??? yum! so i'm busy clearing wip's to make room for new crafty bits.

so has anyone else tried this?

oo i can't wait - yummy tiaras and stuff!

tonight though will be spent working on my skully afghan...and maybe finishing off some more mario piranha flowers...

BUST!

so i'm thinking of going to the BUST craftacular next saturday at york hall.
i love york hall as my club used to kickbox there alot and i also used to go see some great boxing matches there - my fave was audley harrison - he was great to watch.

anyway, i heard the BUST thing was pretty crap last time, but that there were hot guys, so even if we don't do any shopping (reirabbit is coming with me) at least here is something pretty to look at!

so guess that means i need to sort out my eyebrows and eyelashes and stuff on sunday...
been working on my tan today - spent the wekeend up on the bloomsbury skyline club topless and crocheting! got buzzed by choppers, i reckon they couldn't believe some big ole tattooed woman was up there stitching and bitching half nekked...

well i finally did it.

i made it to cafe stitch at the wellcome institute today!
and i loved loved loved it.

there was a really nice group of women there and lovely apricot crumble and gree tea.
yum.

i dint take much yarn with me as i knew i was going to have to run off to the gym, but am thinking of moving my usual saturday training sessions to either earlier or later so i have lots of time to hang out as no one seems to show up til around noon. not that it matters, it's the type of place i might even go sit alone and have cake - and we all know how much i HATE to do anything alone.

in fact, this weekend has really been my first solo weekend in london for a long long long time.
i did get a bootie call around midnight - but i declined so its now tea at claridges with a lovely rockabilly man...think this one will just be a friend though as i'm still not sure what to do with the scandotoy and am still currently really hating my ex assface fiance....

and its 3:36 in the morning and i'm wide awake!

girlfriends

i had a really really lovely night last night watching a few of my worlds collide...
i'd been stressing a bit about where to take alpaca for her birthday!
but goddess was blessing me yesterday.

after a big meeting i went to take my clients to a bar on st john's square called the priory.
but twas closed!

i noticed a new rene pierre baby foot table just inside the door and mentioned it to the girl turning us away = then realised we knew each other from cafe kick! she invited me back later that night for their private party and i mentioned that it would be great to bring my birthday girlfriend - gerit (the lovely girl who sorted everything for us) asked if i needed and table - never did i think that she would give us the private area with posh dining table all laid out for a birthday dinner!

so me, mr iknit, and my best designer reirabbit enjoyed the free vodka cocktails while we waited for everyone else...reirabbit just so happens to be another knitter and has her own stitch and bitch down in crystal palace i want to try...but not before i drag her to iknit for a drink or two! so that is my next week sorted then - next wednesday at iknit and next thursday for codemaddy...

well we met up with some brilliant east end guys about my age lastnight and had a blast.
so spending next thursday with them again trying to steal trays.

My daughter ravenisis and I are up in Blackpool right now as her renegade burlesque troupe are performing this weekend. So we have been hanging round backstage crocheting whien not watching bands, now how punk is that?

lumplift?

The hospital was weird. Need to make a decision about the lump that is there - get it sorted or get another lift at the same time...luckily was only at the clinic for just over 2 hours but did have 3 sets of tests and saw 2 consultants so pretty much value for money!

Then headed straight to knitclub - combining work with fun is always good. I love that there are so many geeky girls there. Sat outside til around 10pm drinking white wine and ginger beer and just not wanting to go home...thanks so much to all the wednesday night girls/boys for getting me through the post hospital haze. Love you all so much!

Went home and spent ages on the phone with the scandotoy.
He's going to come over and be here for me when I decide to get the lumplift.

got home from kniterati last night to find a letter from the breast clinic telling me my appointment is at 3 o'clock today! shit shit shit...so am going to have to move haircut and meetings at work and hope that i can still go out to knitclub with reirabbit afterwards. having this appointment has really made me feel even more alone as the one person that i really could ask to come with me is off being rock god in oslo right now...

...and the ex fiance assface isn't answering any emails or texts - be them horrid and revolting (i do have my moments yes i do) or asking for info for insurance and stuff. so still working on the skully sqares to try and calm down.

off to the kniterati book club at iknit to discuss alan alda's never have your dog stuffed book that i really enjoyed...wonder what next month's book will be?

also - am back working on the skully blanket that i was making for the ex fiance.
i've been really really really angry with him lately and find that working on the blanket helps me to meditate and calmdown (just a tiny bit). i really rreally want to be the better person and try and find goodness in what we've left behind - but in reality i just feel like puking and crying everytime i think of the 5 months wasted trying to fix it.

when i could've been moving on with scandotoys and mercenaries!

...and i'm off to croatia soon - so something to look forward to.
now got to think about what project to take with me...

friday night with the joroach was lovely - she had the best dirty martini birthday drinks ever at the charlotte street hotel and her and i and the ravenisis all showed up with our bright coloured acrylic crochet...then we all spent saturday yarnbombing the tunnel down waterloo...photos to follow when i can get them from camera to lappie!
